Josh took me out for lunch on Thursday, the 6th, to the Olive Garden. It was so cool, because he walked in the restaurant carrying these flowers. All of the waitresses sighed, and he could have had any of their phone numbers! I have to say...he is a hunk! (Especially since he wears contacts again) There is not a better sight, than a son carrying flowers to his mother! I was totally blown away, and touched by the gesture. We shared a yummy lunch and we had a nice time together. It was very special to me!!!
Mother's Day Weekend...May 7-9, 2010, I spent in Boise. Oh how I love going to Boise! I get in my car, and crank up the tunes, and head out! Unfortunately, the road construction slowed me down this time, and it took me 6 hours to get there. But it was bearable, knowing the fun that was ahead of me. I had an absolutely wonderful time, visiting with all of these sweet ladies. AND I got to talk with Jed, Jenny, and Jacob on Sunday.

This is my dear friend Becky Thomson, that I talk about once in a while. We went to the cemetary. Her parents and brother are buried there, and my daughter and father are there. So it was nice to show each other, where they are. I love Becky! We lost track of each other for about 15 years, but ever since we found each other a few years back, it's like we never were apart. She is an amazing friend to me! We are definately like 2 peas in a pod!!!

Me and my mother, at lunch with the relatives from Boise. I had an incredible time with my mother! I loved being with her for the weekend. She never ceases to amaze me with her strength and love. She actually traded in her big 40' motor home and bought a smaller 21'. I'm excited for her keep traveling, cause we all know that she loves it! (I did get that from my parents! I love it too!!!)
My sister Kim, her daughter Kendra, and Kendra's daughter Eden. I love this picture! It shows you the personality that Eden has!!! She is fun to have around.
My sister-in-law Angie, and her daughters Emelia and Greta. Angie is married to my brother Darrin. She has the patience of Job and is a wonderful mother! I cannot believe how much the girls are growing up!

This is my sister Katie and her little girl Sage, and my sister-in-law Janelle and her daughter Kira. Janelle is married to my brother Mark. Kira is expecting her first baby in September. Such an exciting time for her and her parents, as it will be their first grandchild!
Katie lives in Nampa, and has the youngest grandchild for my parents. Little Sage is all of our favorites! She is a cutie!!!!
I know that my husband missed me while I was gone, and I missed him! I'm so thankful though, that he let me go, and spend time with my mother. (He also spent time with his mother.) This year we decided that it was best to divide and conquer! This way, we were both happy, to be able to be with our mothers on Mother's Day.
My sister Kim, came and spent the night with me on Saturday night, and then we (mom, Kim, and I) met my sister Katie & Sage, at my mother's church. It was so nice to be with mom at her ward, and to meet the people that have helped her so much these past few months. It's hard to believe, but tomorrow marks the 2 month anniversary of my father's death. I thought being in the house would be difficult without him, but it didn't really hit me, until we were at church. The Primary was singing the song on Prayer, and the first verse is about the mothers, and when the boys started singing the second verse on fathers, I lost it. I had all of these emotions hit me, and I lost my composure. I have found over the last 2 months, that different things make me miss him. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Anyways! I made it through the song, and the rest of the meetings. After church we had dinner and then went up to the cemetary to visit the grave. The headstone should be done sometime in August. It will be nice to have it there.
My mother is so strong and so beautiful! I love her so much, and I'm so thankful for the way that my father's passing, has brought all of us closer together. We seem to understand more that family is where it is at, and that we need each other so much more than before. Plus, I think that we all want each of us to make it to the Celestial Kingdom, so that we can continue on with our family. It's the best goal, and one that I'm even more focused on.
Talking to Jed was so fun! He is doing well, and so anxious to come home on June 18th. However, he wants to end his mission well, so needs to find some more investigators to teach. I hope that he will be able to, so that he will feel that he did all that he could do, while he was out.
It was also good to talk with Jenny and Jacob. They are both doing well, and seem happy where they are at. (Jenny is in Fillmore now, and Jake is in Texas selling Pesticides.) Jake and Brittany will fly home, when Jed does. So that will be nice for us. To all be together! Maybe we can get a good family picture!!! That would be nice to have!
What a good weekend I have had. I'm so blessed and feel so thankful to my Heavenly Father, for all that he has given to me. I hope that you have all enjoyed a special weekend also, and that the happiness and joy that I feel, is also a part of your lives! :)
